As some Houstonians find themselves struggling to find food for the holiday season, many organizations plan to host events to provide groceries or hot meals during the weeks leading up to Christmas Day.
Harris County has a food insecurity rate of 13.8 percent, according to Feeding America, meaning that many Houstonians don’t have access to enough food for an active, healthy lifestyle.
