We can’t survive without your support. We also can’t survive without your trust. To safeguard that trust, we developed this policy to be transparent about the sources of our funding and to clearly state that donors have no control over our news decisions.
We list the identities of donors who give a total of $5,000 or more per year. Donors who give between $999 and $4,999 a year have the option to be featured on our supporters page. When any donors are mentioned in news stories, we disclose their donation to readers at the end of each article, regardless of the size of their gift.
We know some donors prefer to give gifts anonymously. To avoid concealing the identities of any donors mentioned in news stories, we do not accept anonymous donations. If you have any questions about how we handle donations, please contact us.
