Céilí Doyle is Houston Landing’s affordable housing reporter. Prior to reporting on how housing equity affects where and how Houstonians live, she served as one of the organization’s regional reporters. She comes to Texas by way of the Midwest, most recently working for The Columbus Dispatch in Ohio through the national service program Report for America. In Ohio, she covered rural issues across the state with a special focus on Appalachia and she earned the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors’ Rising Star award. Doyle is a Chicago native who earned her B.A. in journalism and political science from Miami University of Ohio. When not chasing stories — whether it’s an joining an alligator hunt, reciting poetry with cowboys or hounding public officials — she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, traveling and cooking.
